Course content

Provides a comprehensive overview of the purpose and benefits of an ISMS from multiple stakeholder perspectives.
Explains how to scope, plan and manage ISMS documentation, including policies, procedures and records.
Outlines how organisations can seek certification.
Covers post-certification activities such as performance evaluation and monitoring.

Prerequisites

There are no formal entry requirements for this course. However, we strongly recommend completing the Certified ISO 27001:2022 Foundation Training Course before taking this programme, as you will be expected to have a solid understanding of information security management.

Exam information

Attendees take the ISO 17024-certificated ISO 27001:2022 ISMS Lead Implementer (CIS LI) exam set by IBITGQ (International Board for IT Governance Qualifications).

The assessment is delivered online and lasts 90 minutes.

Can exams be retaken?

Yes, if you are unsuccessful on the first attempt, you can retake the exam for an additional fee.

Qualifications

Those that pass the exam will earn the Certified ISO 27001:2022 ISMS Lead Implementer (CIS LI) qualification – recognised by employers worldwide. 

This course awards 21 CPD (Continuing Professional Development) points, which are accredited by the CPD Certification Service. 

Please note: ISO/IEC 27001:2022 Lead Implementer and Lead Auditor certifications are valid for 3 years. Renewal is required to retain certification status.
